He has undertaken training of journalists for various organizations that include: Transparency International- Kenya office on Action for Transparency (A4T – Journalists Mentorship Programme), Media Council of Kenya / UNDP on election reporting during preparations of media houses for the year 2017, general elections in Kenya and Article 19, Eastern Africa region, on mitigating fake news. During his task at Article 19, he supervised the production of radio programmes in 3 radio stations on mitigation of fake news. Today, supports Action for Children with Disability (ACD) network on development communication. This has made him have passion or advocacy communication training. He taught Journalism at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) and previously at Kenya Polytechnic now the Kenya Technical University. His productions are a range of various TV documentaries and dramas. In the latest works he has co-authored the report: Kenya Media Landscape, Whose Voice Does It Echo?, for the Kenya Peace Network and the Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) guide for Older Persons, those under their care and those with disabilities or HelpAge International. He has also been Kenya’s representative on the CATIA 2B Steering Committee. This was a PANOS Eastern African Project that ran for two years between the ears 2003-4. During: his tenure, he carried out content anal sis for 6 radio stations in Kenya.
HEAD OF ADMINISTRATION AND PROJECT COORDINATION
Louis is holder of BA Project Management and Diploma in Youth development, both from the University of Nairobi. His work experience is drawn from a number of engagements in community development.
His work experience is drawn from a number of engagements in community development that include being a Programme Assistant at Awareness Against Human Trafficking Organization- HAART Kenya. He has led multiple sensitization initiatives together with other organizations and government affiliate departments and a focus on building partnerships with multiple local stakeholders to strengthen networks in order to better support the fight against human trafficking in Kenya and parts of East Africa. With a career that began as a youth advocate in good governance, his passion for improving the lives of others has led him into a journey that included establishing youth led community-based organizations and offering advisory services in youth development work. He has also worked in multiple research fields with World Vison Kenya (Soweto ADP) and Plan International (Nairobi urban programme).
FILM AND MEDIA CAPACITY BUILDING
PhD in Film Technology Dr. Diang’a is an Assistant Professor of Film and the Chair of Cinematic Arts Department at United States International University – Africa here she has taught courses in cinematic arts and broadcast Journalism.
She has over sixteen years’ experience in film and media research and scholarship. Her research interests lie within Film studies, broadcast media and African Cinema. She is the author of the first book on Kenyan Cinema: African Re-creation of Western Impressions: A Focus on the Kenyan Film (201 I) and several journal articles/book chapters on film, media and creative & performing arts. She is an Editorial board member of Taylor and Francis’ Cogent Humanities journal, Sanaa journal and e Film Review editor in African Studies Review journal. In practice, she has made a mark in the film industry through her contribution as a film maker, film workshop trainer and mentor, film critic and adjudicator in several film and television festivals including FilmAid International Film Festival, Udada International women’s Film Festival and the Kenya National Drama Festivals (Film Genre), Kalasha Film and TV Market, Kalasha Film and TV Awards. Diang’a has produced and/or directed several films including: Our Strength (2012), The Invisible Workers (2013) and Drugnets (2015) Mad Love (2018), Unbalanced (2019). Her film making interests are in Scriptwriting, Directing, Acting, Production. She is a member of several professional guilds including, Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) Kenya Film and Television Professionals Association (KFTPA), Kenya Scriptwriters Guild (KSG) and Council for Development of Social Science Research in Africa CODESRIA

Dr. Hannington Odame is a Founder and current Director of CABE. He holds a PhD in Agricultural Development from the Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, the Netherlands. He is an agricultural policy and institutions analyst with over 25 years of experience.
He is an agricultural policy and institutions analyst with over 25 years of experience, facilitating agricultural knowledge learning and sharing. He has consulted widely in agricultural policy research for local and international organizations including Future Agricultures Consortium (FAC), IFPRI, AGRA, DFID, AATF, ASARECA. He has contributed to a book published by the World Bank titled: `Agribusiness and Innovation Systems in Africa’. He is currently coordinating the Agricultural Policy Research for Africa (APRA) in Eastern Africa, which focuses on inclusive commercialisation of smallholder in Africa. Hannington’s current interests include research policy and practice of agricultural innovation systems especially on growing and sustaining agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship.

King’oro is an advocate of the FIO Court of Kenya, a social researcher, mediator and gender expert who has contributed to reconciliation / dialogue processes among communities in parts of East and West Africa. Currently, she is the Head of the Research, Policy and Planning Department of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission in Kenya where she has worked for over ten years. She led the inaugural ethnic audits that have resulted in policy change and subsequent inclusion of minority communities such as the Dana and Dasenach in public employment. Sellah is a member of two international think tanks; i.e the global Inclusive Narratives Practice Group (INPG) convened by the Institute for Integrated Transitions (IFIT) and the African Interdisciplinary Scholars Association. She has been a member of the jury of the national Diversity Inclusion Awards and Recognition (DIAR Awards) that recognize champions of inclusion in Kenya since 2018. Additionally. she has been the chairperson of the conflict analysis group in the National Steering Committee of Peace building and Conflict Management in the Kenyan Office of the President, Having been a 2016 Rotary Peace Fellowship (RPF} alumni of Chulalongkorn University, she co-founded Amani Women Network (AWN) with a fellow RPF alumni to enhance women’s roles in sustainable peace and development in Kenya. Sellah was appointed as the Global Peace Index ambassador in 2015 by the Institute for Economics and Peace and is also the past president of Rotary District 9212 Alumni Association which covers Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea.
